WWKIPD and Rainbow socks

Last Saturday was WWKIPD and a group of knitters met in St Stephen's Green in Dubin. The knitters were from Ireland and many other parts of the world. It was a beautiful hot sunny day and we gathered in the Summer House which was shaded and cool and perfect for knitting and chatting to everyone. A really enjoyable day. Thanks to all who organised it.

Twas my sister M's http://www.craftydogs.blogspot.com/ birthday yesterday and I knit these socks and a little bag as part of her present. I think she liked them and I was pleased with the result. I used yarn from http://www.scandinavianknittingdesign.com/ called 'Fabel' superwash. I have not used it before so don't know how it will wear. The colours are really nice

Currently I am deciding what project to start next. I have also knit a couple of washcloths recently but completely forgot to take photos. I think next will be a sweater for myself in a lovley lime green/white soft cotton which I purchased earlier this year at Avoca's yarn sale. But I need to cast on for a smaller project also as I think I will get bored with this stocking stitch.

You'll have to tell me how the Scandinavian Knitting Design yarn works out. They seem to have lots of interesting yarns, and I've been thinking about buying from them.
